KNOW THE ROUTE BEFORE YOU TAKE IT
MSME Samadhaan is a government filing and tracking channel for delayed-payment applications. The relevant Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC) handles the dispute under the MSMED Act, 2006. The government also offers an MSME Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) pathway.
*Payment periods run from acceptance or deemed acceptance, not automatically from the invoice date. Without a written agreement, payment is required before the appointed day following the 15-day period. A written agreement may set an earlier date and cannot extend beyond 45 days.
Eligibility, interest and recoverability depend on the records and applicable law. This is not a subsidy, government-affiliated consultancy or a promise of recovery.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
The Chapter V payment protection is for eligible micro and small suppliers, not medium enterprises. Pure traders cannot assume Udyam registration provides delayed-payment benefits; activity and supply require review.
Registration timing is a legal risk. Earlier Supreme Court decisions took a restrictive approach; NBCC (2025 INSC 54) referred the issue to a larger bench. Obtain current legal advice before filing a claim involving earlier contracts or supplies.
No fixed recovery date can be promised. Section 18(5) sets a 90-day decision target from the reference. Scrutiny, service, hearings, challenges and enforcement may extend the actual timeline.
Section 18(4) permits the council for the supplier's jurisdiction to deal with a buyer located anywhere in India. Confirm the supplier's registered location and current Rajasthan council allocation.
Udyam and earlier registrations, purchase orders or contracts, unpaid invoices, delivery or service acceptance evidence, buyer correspondence and a ledger showing receipts and credits. Old claims need an urgent limitation review.
